About This Project

Re-narrate Projection series is an in-depth expansion of the series Projection. My inspiration for creating the original screen-printing series Projection is that I often connect my emotions or understanding of life with what I see in my surroundings. I document it with photography, modify the photos, and print them by hand. Photography is used as a poetic means to freeze time, while screen printing is used as an artistic means to present time. After this research and practice Re-narrate Projection, I further provoke that ‘folding’ is a creative channel to interact with and transform time, while collage could be a method to make time in series. I ultimately use digital collage to merge screen-printing and Origami images and adopt inject-printing to enclose these ideas into a photograph-based work.
