PASSEPARTOUT PHOTO PRIZE WINNER

Finn OharaThrough the Virginia Creeper

Finn O’Hara’s Birds of Prey stands out for the impeccable aesthetic chosen to tell both a story and a place by exploring its subjects through the use of vibrant colors that characterize the entire suite of images.
Starting with ancient migratory routes of bird species that have passed through the city of Toronto over time, The theme addressed and the visual language used lead us to a reflection on the landscape transformation caused by the presence of urban agglomerations developed over time.
It is a reflection on the points of no return in our society, approached with such a refined and contemporary aesthetic that we linger on the photographs for a long time. Observation becomes a deeper awareness of crucial issues that are changing the morphology and identity of places while disrupting animal habitats
