Alternate Status

All of these images are from my ongoing project, Alternate Status. As with all portraits from these series, they originate as lens-captured, camera-originated, digital files that are printed on photo paper. The images presented here go through various stages of printing in a process that involves wet ink and air drying before being rephotographed and printed on photographic paper in their final form. The process of printing, drying, reshaping the work, and reprinting takes from two to four weeks for each image. The warping and dripping effects are not produced using either post-production software or artificial intelligence.
