As Catedrais beach, Galicia, Spain. Part of the series End of the journey. This series of photographs is a tribute to Galician beaches. After 900km and a 38 day-walk across Northern Spain I ended up on an extensive beach of Galicia’s Atlantic coast. It felt like an oasis. I barely saw any visitors. I rested there for a few weeks and I took daily walks with my camera along this kilometric coastline. I was fascinated by the ever-changing atmospheres shaped by the tides, the weather and the fortuitous presence of human beings. Since that trip, I regularly photograph the western coastline of Spain, France and Portugal in an ongoing project.
