«Barumbara is the name of our home and an ongoing project on the magical island of Malta. The house gets its Maltese name from its dovecote, a tower where pigeons once came home to roost and breed. Now, the eagle is in the dovecote. Covid, the great disrupter, wreaks havoc and division wave upon wave. Constrained, some thrive, some rebel, some turn inward, protective and feral. I’m a bird on a wire, wings frayed and flightless in paradise.»
