Set 1 – ‘The Resilient’ – Nature has is an incredible ability to fit back the elements, both manmade and natural. Seasonal weather freezes, burns and drenches, and yet, nature manages to resist damage and recovers quickly from the constant disturbances. Our sun is the plants ‘oxygen’. It’s part of the process, how they grown and produce more seeds to survive. These samples were collected from a local nature reserve. The prints reimagined to harness and bond with the sunlight. A need to recognize how as a society can and should connect more with nature. The beauty that is so abundant, yet often overlooked. Set 2 – ‘Confinement’ – Exploring the in-between of day and night, as dusk falls. No shut curtains, with your life on show. Retreating to your home as the light changes and evening begins. The uneasy edge of isolation and confinement. An unbalanced compelling atmosphere to seduce you in.
