Liminal Space is an ongoing project looking into the evolution of fashion, style and culture in the South Asian diaspora in the UK. Migration has been seen traditionally from an angle of conflict. But with globalization and the internet, the sovereignty of the borders are no longer opaque.
People in these spaces are no longer afraid to stand out or initiate conversations around identity. Aishwarya Rai grew up in the UK listening to stories about her Nepalese heritage from her mother. Inter-generational migration is often a liminal space, caught between worlds.
