About This Project

Irina Cheremisina

In my life and work I am passionate about minimalistic style and geometry forms. Handmade such as sewing, painting, and making collage also forms a significant part of my art, so I love to use mixed technics in photography. My project “City Geometry” is dedicated to Valencia and the Cabanyal district as one of the oldest and most colourful areas of the city, which buildings were declared Sites of Cultural Interest in 1993. Each artwork of the project is done as a collage, mixing printed photography and sewing on the watercolor paper. In this way I try to emphasize the coloured geometry and the variety of architectural forms of the Cabanyal, its special atmosphere and authenticity.
