About This Project

A visual story and documentation taken in a South Western province of China portraying the traditions and daily moments of the ethnic minority Miao during and after COVID-19 restrictions across a multiple-year journey. A series that steers away from conventional documentary shots, using color, light, and composition to create an artistic endeavor to convey feelings and atmosphere, to explore abstract topics that mirror personal experiences while focusing on human connections.
