In this project I create portraits that depict my desires, intimacies, and self exploration. In my work I photograph women as an unraveling of what my lesbian perspective and desire is; I photograph women and I in bodysuits, or nude; delving into the my affect on the narratives I have psychologically written towards the female body during my upbringing. Creating a narrow definition of how a body should look, act, desire, touch, and be perceived. In my work I view women through my queer perspective, using group or individual composition, and hair to discuss the biological intimacy, connectedness, and tension between women. I use my current practice to unravel the connection between the feminine, nature, and my desire for the intertwining of both. The lengthening and intertwining of hair has become not only a photographic technique to convey intimacy but a personal act of cultivating intimacy with nature.
