“Empty” The flowing waters of this anoxic river carrying the debris transported all along its course, made me recall the troubled relationships throughout a lifetime. The gift of life can have a cost for both the giver and the receiver. The apparent static nature of water matches the rigidity induced in our relationships with others, when we wait for a response that is late or does not arrive. The vortexes, like the cycle of existence or its eternal return, melt in resentment and anger felt and held. Fires thrown towards others, whose flames always come dangerously back. I tried to exploit the little movements of the river to evoke the connection between heaven and earth. Water adapts to the forms it encounters, expressing change, mutation, turbulence, struggle, thus synthesizing the mystery of life. The detachment still leaves traces of what has been experienced, in the hope of a last peaceful landing.
