The extraordinary restlessness of the hic et nunc When the future no longer acts as a collective subject, or as a shared vision, reality contracts into the mental space of individual life. In the paradox of a reduced sense of perspective in which, however, the gaze becomes more uncertain, the poetic act of the creative gesture is born: an obstinacy to beauty capable of transforming the elision of the future into a dilated present, insinuating itself into the suspended time of an obscure expectation. Anguish then enters the scene, the missing connection between inside and outside. As a counterpoint to the restlessness of a woman portrayed from behind, the fire pours out on the vivid colours of a saturated context, and while a beam of light invades a female face surprised to wade beyond, the Beyond takes the form of multicoloured flowers caught in the funereal context of a cemetery lamp, and precipitates on each one as a surrendered hand, which nevertheless reveals a stubborn creativity, imprinted on the body or on an object, and which proceeds beyond the shadows when they mark barely visible paths. Finally, one glimpses, in the fragile extremity of a plant, the intention of an evident hope, the vitality of a sap that insinuates itself into the consistency of things, in spite of their fixity.
