About This Project
Marla Klein
“How Many Hands” was inspired by the fashion industry’s underlying problem with slavery. Many hands, often women of color, are exploited to make our clothes while living with poverty wages, unsafe working conditions and no job security. With this series, I wanted to make these invisible hands visible in an unsettling, yet beautiful way.
