L’ASSENZA For this photographic work, I was inspired by the many reflections of those who have lost a loved one. I found a singular expression in the suffering of many. It is the choice to keep inviolate the homes of those who are no longer with us, as if to seal their memory forever. The dwelling is the final custody of an absence that becomes presence again, of an entity that cannot be seen, that can be felt, that is magical in its manifestation without being there. In entering these empty houses, there is a silent invitation to look more carefully, to grasp details, small details, to which one had not given weight and which, now, in the stillness, re-establish a bond.
