The definition of a photograph that represents an ‘indexical’ link to a its real object has somehow eroded along with the development and accessibility of digital manipulations. The space presented within the frames of an image may be multifaceted, but yet profess absolute truth. In current times, instead of understanding and believing the indexical nature of photography, the assumption that the image has been digitally manipulated comes first into the minds of the viewers when looking at a photograph. The series aims to reverse this mindset of the audience and to question the representations of photographs using light, reflective materials, etc, to create images that may intuitively appear to be digitally manipulated yet, all compositions of the photographs were created in an analogue way. In the age of AI, how can one truly appreciate the essence of reality in photography? The on-going series explores the extent of representation in the photographic medium.
